I was rather hoping for a nice easy purchase just to show it can be done.

There's still a ways to go yet as we haven't started talking seriously about figures yet. That could be interesting considering all the info that you guys have posted here.

So with a 100 mile round-trip to do, will be leaving soon. I feel like a kid at xmas

Had an 1hr 30min drive to the dealer this morning, traffic was pants and I was doing my best to avoid have any incidents in my Golf as the weather was terrible.

Arrived at just after 9am, handover went well, wheel-refurb and paint issues seem to be resolved to my satisfaction. Car had been prepped and cleaned. Looked nice and shiny

Thanks for all the comments guys - really pleased, will get a chance to do some distance driving throughout the week. Will post some feedback, regarding my experiences throughout the week - watch this space.
