Carbon trim wrap

Hi all,

I have just taken on a used E92 and with it a pitted/worn aluminum trim, the car is in great condition except this. So on my search I found a lot about the carbon trim wrap there was a member on here which has done a great job of theres.

Can anyone recommend me a place where I could drive to get it done? (I am in the east mids area)

I've got some pitted alu trim for an E92 I'm selling very cheap if you want to preserve your own

The aluminum trim I have isn't in the condition to preserve as my new car is an AUC, so I think the only way forward is to get it wrapped but thank you for the offer.

Hi,

I've just di-noc'd the interior trim in my E90. Doors, dash, centre and steering wheel. I found the original ali trim was too bright in the sunlight (not that we've had alot) I was going to spray the trim black but after seeing the di-noc - thought I'd give that a go...
Cost was just over £40 for the materials (3M) I just took my time removing the trim and managed not to break any fasteners. I used a heat gun and craft knife to fit the material. I found it quite easy and the result was excellent.
Well worth having a go yourself if you want any pointers or pics let me know...

Hi,

I got my 3M di-noc from -
www.carbon-vinyl.com
Two sheets 300mm x 1220mm & 600 x 1220mm were enough for mine. I bought the small sheet first to see how far I got. That did the dash and three of the doors. The second larger sheet did the fourth door, centre and steering wheel with enough left over to cover the garage light switches!

I've just looked at the site and the prices have gone up - looks to be about £49 for the two sheets now...

Have a look on the bay you may get it cheaper on there. The above site was good and delivery was prompt, rolled up in postage tubes.
