can the AA chip be detected by dealer?

Has anyone heard of their Active Autowerk chip being detected by the dealer? I have a year left on the warranty so I don't know if I should risk it.

I sent AA an email and they said the only way they can detect it is if they check the "ghost memory" and the only reason that would do that is if you over rev the engine. (Mine is automatic)

Thanks

I'd buy a code reader and just clear it manually. Remove the tune before you go into the dealer.... Better safe than sorry. Imagine if your turbos blew in the last month of your warranty or something.

Trust me on this one, clear codes and remove it.

A) Clear codes and remove it
B) AA has been reported to throw codes
C) AA is antiquated, doesn't get updated, and a relic in terms of tunes. Even their new update isn't anything to write home about.
D) Get a JB+ and a peake scan tool
