The Service: The service provided here is for your OEM trim pieces to be wrapped in C/F (carbon fiber) fabric.

Colors: There are many colors to choose from but i chose black. For a list of colors available, simply contact Richy.

Price: The price i paid for the service is $400. The price includes full trim wrapping for my e92 (coupe, 10 pieces) in the black c/f fabric i chose. The price also included 2nd day shipping back to me via UPS, so i only had to pay shipping to Richy which cost me roughly $50 and giving me a grand total of $450.

Question #1: Why does the e92 have 10 pieces and e90 only 8?
Answer: The e92 has the rear center vent and ash tray cover while on the e90 the rear vent and ash tray are not possible to cover, so there is the 2 piece difference.

Extra Option: Richy had an extra option for the center stack to be done (climate control and CD area cover panels) which cost me an additional $50 giving me a total of $450 for the service and $50 for me to ship Richy my trims, which gives me a final grand total of $500.

Current Price: Due to high demand, prices have changed; please contact Richy for current pricing.

Time: Once Richy receives the trims, he will need 2 full business days to complete the work and will be shipped out via UPS 2 day.

Warranty: The warranty from ******** Motorsport for this service is 3 years on the material against fading, cracking, or peeling and also on Richy’s workmanship from delivery. Mine was delivered 12/4/08 so warranty expires 12/4/11.

Question #2: So if anything happens, how do I put the warranty to action?
Answer: If you have any type of fading, cracking, peeling, etc simply contact Richy. In general, the customer will have to ship back the piece needing warranty, and also cover shipping costs back. It’s that simple.

Maintenance: Maintaining your newly wrapped trim pieces is very simple. Simply use a soft cloth with soap and water or use the normal leather cleaner you already use and if for any reason you have cracking, peeling, etc refer to the warranty information above.

Removing The Trim Pieces: Removing the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) trim pieces is very simple. Everything is held on by clips and pins. Just take your time and slowly work around the trimmings using a small flathead screwdriver. I used two credit cards and jammed them into the trim gap and just stuck the flat head in-between the cards so I don’t scratch anything. There is a DIY guide here (hope user doesn’t mind) and if you need any help removing a trim piece, simply call Richy and he will gladly guide you through over the phone: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137527. You can leave the vents, clips, and ash tray cover on the trims along with the pins; but the pins are very easy to remove and I would do so (I did) as it will be one less thing that can go missing. Just remove the pins and store them in a zippy bag.

Question #3: With the trim pieces removed, can I still start and use my car?
Answer: Yes, after you removed the trim piece holding the start button, simply “pop” out the button out of the trim and hook up the wire you removed back into the button. The key FOB port isn’t touched during the trim removal so this will allow you to still start the car with and without CA (comfort access).

Question #4: What size box did you use to ship your trim pieces and how did you safely ship them?
Answer: To safely ship the trim pieces I wrapped each piece with some bubble wrap and filled the box with packing material such as newspaper and packing peanuts (Styrofoam). Since the largest box available at the store was way too big, I had to pack in two boxes. I used a 6x6x48 to fit the front trim (start button) and the two long front door trims. The second box was a 22x18x16 which was packed with everything else rear trim, rear vent, side vent, center console, etc. Using these two boxes with the items listed they fit perfectly and very snug.

Re-Installing The Trim Pieces: If you can remove your trim, you can easily put it back. Just snap everything back into place along with the wires and voila, you are finished. It is really as easy as pie.

Question #5: What color fabric did you use?
Answer: I used the black fabric.

My Experience: My experience working with Richy and ******** Motorsport was great. Speaking to Richy you can tell right away he is very energetic, lively, and loves what he does along with being very knowledgeable and patient. More importantly Richy is a very honest and nice guy always available through e-mail or phone. If you have any problems or concerns simply e-mail or call him and he will respond in a very timely manner, not to mention he is very easy to speak to. After getting my trim pieces back I would give Richy a full A+. The service was done in a timely manner, communication was great, and the work came out amazing as you can see in the pictures. One of the biggest worries was the c/f weaves not matching up, but this wasn’t a problem for Richy as the weaves came perfectly aligned. The trimming of the fabric is just perfect and overall the workmanship is just amazing and I am more than satisfied. Pictures can’t fully describe how perfect everything came out. The other great thing about working with Richy is the hassle free warranty. If you have a problem with your trim just ship it to Richy and simply pay for shipping back, that’s it. I think the price is great for the perfect work, matched up weaves, and great service. Words can’t fully describe my satisfaction but what I can say is that I will definitely be doing business with Richy again.

Question #6: Does ******** Motorsport only do trim wrappings?
Answer: No, along with trim wrappings, ******** Motorsport has a large selection of wheels, tires, OEM M-Tech Kit, boot services, and much more. Simply contact Richy for anything you need.

Hey hl0m4n excellent "WRITE UP"(non commercial in any way). Very detailed and very well written. Thank you very much for your order and all your help. It seems that this forum has some biased mods.
