She didn't look like she was going to make it in time from looking at yesterdays location. Like everybody is saying, one more day isn't bad. Rather have the ship make it here safe and sound.

WW says the scheduled arrival of the Maersk and our precious vehicles are on time for tomorrow. Can't come soon enough
The sailwx website hasn't updated though....

How do we know as of 7am its almost here? The sailwx.com website doesn't show any new info.. Is someone on the coast with a pair of binoculars? If not, can someone be?? If anyone finds anything out, post it here. Thanks, Josh
We're getting our baby's soon guys. This wait has been awful. I can't stop thinking about this car!! |

Scratch that ... she's just outside of NY harbor ... about 250 miles out I say, try Google earth for more reasonable distance estimate, I'd expect late PM arrival if not +1 day arrival ...
edit: whoops didn't realize that lakersfan had posted identical post, she should still be chugging steadily down ... please note that closer to this area the lag in AISlive widens so you'll be hard pressed to find almost real-time data.

Thanks for posters who have uploaded the AIS maps. Glad to see she's close.
Long Island is only about 120 miles long, and she's already half way down past the island, closing in on the harbor! |

In that case (assuming steady clip of about 20mph) she should just about within harbor AIS range in the net 1-3 hours...still anticipate a late PM docking (expect in the 15:00-20:00 range)

Hullo ... Don't want to alarm you guys but the M W just turned red again on the AIS map...not to sure what that means, never saw that with the Don Juan...(green/red/green flickering)
edit: I believe the M W has stopped engines (green=on, Yellow=docked and red=stopped). I have a theory she might be timing her arrival pending clearance from the VTS, the NEAT terminal is currently occupied...
