e93 320i oil change

Hi e90post.com,

I had the oil in my 320i changed in September 2015 (along with the oil filter), which is almost 2 years ago. Since then, the car had done a whopping 2 650 miles, so I'm a little hesitant to spend money on having the oil changed, seeing how it was barely "used" over the course of the last 24 months. Do you think an oil change is in order simply because the last one was two years ago?

The engine is an n43. Car had done 47 thousand miles total.

Thank you for your answers!

I would change yearly regardless , if you do stop start journeys when you do use it the oil won't get really hot and you may end up with emulsion building up due to condensation inside the engine that doesn't get hot enough to vapour off. Check the oil filler cap and if there is white emulsion build up inside change the oil.

Thank you. I'll look at it.
