New BMW Owner saying hello

Hello all, I have officially, as of today, joined the BMW family. I had been lurking for a little while doing some research and finally settled on the one for me. I purchased a 2007 e90 335i in montego blue, AT, sport package. Just thought I would say hello and you should be seeing a lot more of me. I was a previous STI owner and had multiple different Mustangs before the STI so I am excited to own something with power and luxury.

I loved the STI. It was by far the favorite car I've owned. It was slightly modded and had good power but the ride quality is pretty harsh and with no insulation its pretty noisy inside the cabin when cruisin down the freeway. I don't have comparisons yet as I've only driven the 335 about 10 miles from the dealership to my work. Although the first thing i did notice was how stiff the steering and gas pedal are. Thats gonna take some getting used to.

welcome! haha i've actually been considering goign to the sti int he past couple years from my e90. the hatchback look has grown on me and you can't beat the awd and versatility from the sti's, especially in seattle/pnw weather. well welcome and be careful on these forums. they can suck all your money from you.

Thanks everyone. Drove it around for a couple hours tonight, running erronds and I am falling in love...... lol. It's so comfortable and smooth and if I feel like a lane change the power is instant. I don't feel I will miss the STI at all.

The STI is a great "sports car" and if it wasn't my daily driver i'd probably still own it but as a daily driver it wore me out. Plus I put 73k miles on it in 3 years.

welcome welcome!

just know that when you get a little bored of the power another 50-100 HP os just a $400 JB3 away it really makes the 335i come alive.

It is screaming for a lot more then that! lol The first order of business is window tint and getting rid of the orange in the front headlights. Then probably start on suspension work. Still deciding.

i know a good tint shop right up your ally. they are called

X-Treme Car Audio & Window Tint‎
25911 104th Avenue Southeast, Kent, WA 98030-7605
(425) 277-2606‎

ask for JAY and tell them Derrick sent you. you should be able to get it done for around 200$$ they offer a 3 year warrantee if anything starts to peel bubble ect.

they do great work and i have had 5 cars done by them and not a single issue.

they have all the different %'s you can choose from and you can also mix and match.

^^ Thanks for the suggestion. I will check them out. I've got a couple options now.

Has anyone had the orange reflector removed from there headlights? Shop referals and cost? I had a shop do my STI but he hasn't taken apart a BMW headlight so I am a little nervous to take it to him.
