Headlight question

Hello,
over the last couple weeks I've noticed my passenger side headlight has failed to turn on immediately when i turn my headlights on. Drivers side turns on, then theres a delay for like 5-15 seconds and then my passenger side turns on. Tonight it wouldn't turn on at all. Neither low beam or high beam works. Because of that, i assume I'm going to need to replace more than the bulbs? has anyone had this issue before ?
Just looking for a little insight and wonder what parts ill need to replace? car is an 08 e92 335xi. Thanks in advance for any help

Swap the bulbs between the two sides and see if the problem follows the bulb. If it does, it's the bulbs. If it stays on the same side, it could be the ballast.

I'd repeat the same test by swapping ballasts as well. It's probably the ballast, not the bulb (unfortunately).

Swapping ballasts doesn't tell you any more than just swapping the bulbs, unless you are suspecting a wiring fault.
