So if you are fence sitting, get yourself organised !!!

List of participants will close on Friday night, so I can book accommodation this weekend

May possibly pick something up from Launceston Airport and drive it up to meet you guys. But do all your bookings without me for now, if I come I'll bring a sleeping bag.

Launceston airport isn't far from Devonport, just hire a car from there and meet up with us. Just skip the ferry trip, plenty of car hire places with decent driving cars.

If you were going to rent, wouldn't you just go on the boat as a walk-on and pick up a car in Devonport and return it to Devonport?

With how expensive and slow the ferry is compared to a plane ticket hes better off flying to Launceston and picking up a car there imo

A Megane 265/275 RS is $50/day from Hertz (Melb or Syd)... unlimited km's too. I just rented a 275 last weekend with 1,200km on the clock. Crazy deal.

Not really keen to get a BRZ from Launceston for $250/day lol (200km/day limit too). Will keep searching.

If you wanna rent a car from Tassie, you could drive my car onto the ferry for me and I take a plane to Tassie. That would totally get me out of a clusterfuck. Missus birthday is 28th of October. Promised to spend it with her. I thought this cruise was on the 29th. It is, but begins from Melbourne on the 28th!

If renting a car in tassie is too much trouble then wooshy u got a bunch of chilled out guys who are willing to give you the keys to his car for you to cruise down from syd to mel onto the ferry and more than welcome to ride shotgun with us.

We will be doing some sight seeing mixed in with the driving.... you can cruise along with me because I wont be allowed to go quick with a passenger onboard lel
