Transmission shift slop?

Okay, let me start by saying this might simply be due to my experiences of today.

I went to the BMW performance center for a work function and was 'subjected to' several very high performance cars. The 2012 335i I was driving had *significantly* quicker shifting, and firmer shifting than my 335d. I do have the JBD on my car, and it pulls harder than the 335i, which I still love, but I'd really like to get a bit of a firmer shift.

Is there anything out there or should I just live with what I've got.

PS - Watching the traction control light all the way through 3rd in a new M5 is ridiculous. I encourage anybody with the means to get to Greer, SC to go do a day session.

Nothing you can do other than reset the adaptations. Performance center in Greer IS fun!

Curios about the M5. Did the DCT slip? I read a review where th transmission would slip under WOT on straights.

I'm not sure if it slipped or not -- once I got to third and DCT actually wasn't limiting everything I was attempting to do, it was amazingly fast with not perceptible slip, and it also was a rocket-ship on the straight in third. 1/2 and sometimes 3 if in a turn was actually quite slow just due to DCT staying completely engaged. I managed to get it sideways in 3rd at about 80, which was significantly scary and expensive
