You need to use a corporate account to get the best rate. Can you use your work's account and reimburse them?

I usually go to one of those parcels plus stores and ship it USPS. Last time I shipped a wheel with tire for $27 including packaging.

Depending on how far it is going, the weight and dimension of the tire that is pretty much on par. TIP : If the tires weigh less than 35 lbs each, you can strap two of them together and call it one package instead of shipping them separately to save some $$.

Ahh Yes Corporatism,

I remember when you could get a candy bar and a coke out of the vending machine for 25 cents each.

You can't do that for less than 2 bucks at the cheapest nowadays. Yet, my salary hasn't increased 400%.

Everything has gotten ridiculously expensive. Inflation is grossly understated.

That is completely wrong unless the combined weight is over 50lbs Fedex or 70lbs UPS. We do it hundreds of times each day. If your local fedex depot is giving you a hard time, drop by your local friendly UPS store.
