2011 E92 Angel Eye issue

Hey Gents,

I cannot for the life of me figure out where to change out my angel eye bulb!!

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I took my wheel off... removed the wheel well... watched countless videos on youtube and scrolled high and low on these forums. Everything doesn't seem to be for my exact headlight.

2011 E92 - 335 coupe

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The FRM controls it, there’s no bulb to change out

Is the angel eye ring not lighting up?

There is a large LED array with a heatsink that bolts onto the bottom of the E92 LCI headlight if I recall. Part #13 here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=63_1208 available here: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/63117263051/

I think I understand now. This is my headlight assembly. From what I gather, there is no Angel Eye H8 Bulb like the previous models. (Even Though I bought a pair that were said to match) I realized they did not because I flipped open the lid on top like DIY instructed, but did not see a bulb in there like in the videos.

Instead, I would have to replace that LED Module as it probably shorted out from all the moisture inside. That make sense? See Pictures

Thanks. Just ordered a pair of 63117263051.... I’ll report back once I get time to install them. Sounds like this could be the bandit.

Will do - FYI got a pair (looks like you need 2 per headlight from that picture) of these on eBay for $130ish

Good news to report! I took the wheel off and the front part of the wheel well. I was able to change out the closest LED module without taking off the bumper or anything else. Turns out it’s all I needed. That fixed the issue. Headlight back to 100%

Thrilled to have this fixed

Great to see that that worked. Did you just replace 1 led module? (thing with the heatsink) See pic

.

Note the screw in the back of the module i drilled a small hole through the headlight bracket to get to. took a few seconds and its really not noticeable.

if you have to replace the other module youre going to need to figure something else out. (i think remove the bumper will be required)

Cool, were both angel eyes out or just 1 ring?
