In the market for a HDTV
Max spend around 800 squid. John Lewis are pretty good as they have free 5 year guarantees on all their TVs. What models should I be looking at and other pointers appreciated.
What about this: http://www.johnlewis.com/230575881/Product.aspx |

Its not bad. Heres what to remember. 1080p, high contrast ratio, high hz, hdmi input. That tv is 50hz which is a bit low. However I dont know if hz are the same over there. 120 is best while 60 is okay and ive never even heard of a 50hz tv before.
120hz and lcd backlighting is best but probably too expensive. 60hz is okay but try for high contrast ratio! Not dynamic contrast ratio, true contrast ratio.

What panel size are you looking for Sunny? 37, 40 or 42"?
Or larger, Sir?

And the uk has weird hz settings. We have 60 and 120hz. You seem to have 50 and 100hz.

Actually I was gonna say that you drive from the passengers seat! I have no idea how you press the controls or shift gears with your LEFT hand!

Us Brits are talented OT Thinking about this situation I could just wait until January sales. This same TV would drop like sh** or get something better than I could do now with the same moolah. |

Nah we don't have thanksgiving. They're always talking about that on WWE and other public holidays we don't get here in the UK. The closest thing we get to that is the January sales...then again that happens all over right?

Whats WWE?
Most people are right handed. So pushing buttons and shifting gears with the right hand makes more sense. Eventhough im left handed I could never shift gears with my left hand! I cant wait to visit the uk oneday and try to drive from the passengers seat!

I thought you had two identical prong things? We have one big and one small prong for safety and most everything is 3 prong with a ground prong. I always thought that europe had real dangerous outlets.

Note many of the countries are ex-colonies or still part of the Commonwealth. The main reason for choosing one side or the other is to give the driver of a wide load the best vantage point possible when passing another vehicle. Many factors contribute to which side is favoured for example keeping left allows a riders sword arm to be free, or keep right for ease of whipping horses. So in a given country the particular historical factors at the time dictated which side of the road people tended to travel on.
PS, what do you mean, what is WWE? Peter - Too right, 3 pin with an earth. |

Try these. On my New Year shopping list. Current Panny has seen me good service over the last four years. I'd have another no problem.
