Just impulsed bought these two from Juiced Up Tuning. I read a few threads on these but should've really researched it better before.

Has anyone got any of these? What are your experiences?

I have an OEM M3 CDV [same as BMS CDV ie full bore] and BMS clutch stop fitted on my car. I experimented with the 3 rubber packers that came with the clutch stop and found 2 packers worked the best for me.

Good mod. Do it and you won't regret it !!!

Just bought a new CDV valve from BMW and removed the internal bits using a puch Two items come out the metal washer and rubber bung. Its now derstricted and having this fitted monday

Not sure abou tthe stops as I read that they can cause issue with the start /stop system as the sensor for this is lower than clutch point

I have the BMS stop, bought from BMW direct, works nicely and gets rid of that annoying leg stretch you need to put the clutch right down.

Means you can move the seat back a bit, to not be co close to the throttle and brake. No problems with start/stop or normal starting, if you use too many spacers (3) then the car won't start as the clutch will be too high.

2 spacers worked fine for me, the car starts and you can select first and reverse perfectly well, both cold and hot, indicating the clutch is still FULLY disengaged.



I also have the CDV mod, but we just popped the valve out of the standard one with an allen key, easily done, than refitted it without the valve, still OE from the outside.

Great mod, really smooths shifts, especially 1st to 2nd. Worth every penny.

Regarding the fitting of the CDV, it looks like a really simple job but i dont have access to a ramp. How much did garages charge you for the fitting and if you have any recommendations then that would be great.

Any BMW indy garage could change the CDV in 15 minutes on a ramp.

I use Darren Wood BMW (indy) but they're in manchester, I had it done with some other stuff, so can't remember the charge.

£25 tops maybe?

Massive difference.

Mind you, I just clamped the pipe before the valve took it out, popped the grommet it that restricts the flow of clutch fluid, and then put it back in again.

You have to take it out anyway so why buy another one?

Just fitted the clutch stop. First i tried 3 spacers but the car didnt start. Then i tried 2 and it works It feels totally different now. Much better shifting.

Only thing is sometimes i have to press the clutch pedal with a bit of force for it to start. Does this mean that i need to use the same force when shifting normally? Or can i just press the pedal like normal? This does seem to work

This adjustable clutch stop allows faster and smoother shifts by removing the dead space between your clutch pedal and the floor. Snaps in to place like your OEM clutch stop and is fully reversible. Unlike other clutch stops that use metal washers for adjustment ours includes rubberized adjustment shims that do not rattle.

Give it a few days and the imprint of the 'arm' of the clutch pedal will make an inprint on the rubber top of the clutch stop. Mine had a similar issue which went away after a short bit of time. All it means is that the clutch pedal needs to go down slightly more to activate the start button. If you feel the biting point of the clutch you will notice it is much further up than your clutch stop so you can shift gear as normal.

+1, as long as you can easliy select first and reverse when stationary as before, then the clutch is fully disengaged.

+1, the new clutch stop will 'squash' over a few days useage and the pedal will sink a little more, so you should be fine.

If starting is still intermittent after a few days, then you might have to go to 1 spacer, or thin out one with a knife to make 1.5 spacers!

Ok that makes sense. The biting point is definately ok and i guess the start/stop will get better.

Just dropped the car off to M-Tek (Northampton) for a vehicle check and the CDV. He said the CDV will take a maximum of 1 hr with the bleeding. Hopefully it will take less.

Does anyone know if getting a vehicle check done by M-Tek will invalidate the warranty? I did ask and they said it won't but i just want to double check.
