removing sticker residue from window...

The previous owner had some kind of registration sticker on the windshield. After I removed it I was left with this sticky gunk on the window that doesn't want to come off with windex and elbow grease. Any ideas? I'm also trying to avoid stratching the window of course :P

When I've used 3M adhesive remover I have sometimes had to follow up with isopropyl alcohol to remove final traces of residue.

I've always used an adhesive remover along with a razor blade or plastic razor. As long as you're working at a low angle, you shouldn't have any issues scratching the glass. Comes off pretty effortlessly.

Yeup, soak it with goo gone or something along those lines then use a razor blade. Yeah razor blade just be carefull. Also, steel wool works too.

+ 1 on the razor blade just keep the window wet. Use a brand new blade as well. I have done this on tons of windows never had a problem.
