Up for sale is the newest BMW TCU (GSM version) and a gray FZD. It also comes with the microphone in the FZD. Your car must be prewired for this to work. BMW pre-wired all US cars up till 02/2009 production. You will need the TCU mounting bracket, the Bluetooth antenna and coding from the dealer.

I remember when you got this setup to retrofit BT - I think you found out (as I did) that cars with build date of 2/2009 do not include the prewiring. Although it was uncertain to me at first, since it was repeatedly reported that cars up 2/2009 had the prewiring (apparently it is up to, but not including 2/2009 build cars).

I have the MULF2 installed in my car underneath where the TCU usually goes (as I have the USB interface) which has the large blue connector, black/green fiber optic, & the USB coax - but no loose large white connector and the rest of the TCU wiring. I do have a bundle of still wrapped wires coming off same harness as going to MULF2 - but I think they are for the optional CD Changer.

You were gonna go with the mObridge - did you finally go that route, and how did it work out? EAS lists mObridge for 2006-2008 cars only?

Hi, hope all is well.

I had the mObridge installed with great success but I had to disconnect the MULF2 as they conflicted with each other. I actually went to a shop that has an Autologic and programmed the car to enable bluetooth (you enable USB-SBX-HIGH). By doing that, the mObridge is also enabled and you have a choice to use the mObridge or the MULF2. The car immediately recognized the bluetooth functionality. I chose to take out the mObridge and use the MULF2 instead so I can keep both the bluetooth and USB/iPod capabilities. All I had to do then was to wire up the mic to the proper pins of the MULF2 and run the mic wire up to the FZD and tap in the existing mic wires. I had voice control and the mic was part of it. Then I run a long bluetooth antenna cable along the side of the car, mount a BMW bluetooth antenna where it goes by the drivers side over your knees, and plugged in the antenna at the beige connector of the MULF2. The antenna cable end plastic connector did not fit the MULF2 beige round slotted connector but if you take the cable end plug apart, the coax end fits nicely and firmly. The only issue is that I've lost voice control (the system prompts me for the commands but it won't listen, something to do with the mic) but Autologic supposedly can fix that, other than that, it works great.

These are for the Sirius receiver which mounts on the left of the MULF2/TCU

Duhhh, I knew that - brain must be fried from to much gobbler festivus

I would go the route of using the MULF2 also If I thought I could find anyone with enough smarts to program it in my area...
