f1 wheels are 13" but the tire/wheel assembly is much much larger overall. there will be a noticeable decline in ride quality (slight but noticeable). i think the main issue really is the availability of tires...personally im a fan of 18's on the 3 series

I am in about the same boat as you i live in NYC and the roads are really bad.
18's give better performance and ride comfort and the 19-20's look nicer. For me living in NYC using 19 or 20 inch rims is not an option. I have OEM type 71's staggered on my E46 330ci and i have bubbled 2 tires already and bent a rim. with 19's or 20;s i would prob be changing rims and tires every few weeks. |
