You can also do it without i-Drive. Press the button shaped like a musical note. You may then have to scroll to additional soft buttons by pressing the soft button right arrow. In any case, look for the soft button "S-VOL". Choose that. That adjusts the speed dependent volume.

Huh - I will have to try turning this down. I find it kind of annoying, because it adjusts the volume in what seem to be strange increments, even where there really isn't much additional road noise.

I think it may also be based on engine speed. I also found it annoying, as it wasn't consistent. Sometimes the volume adjusted nicely, and other times it increased too much. I have it set to one now. Too bad you can't disable it completely.

Wish my E93 had two settings
I wish BMW would make two adjustments available, one for when my top is up and one for when it is down.
