335i Gearbox 4-5 changes poorly

Was wondering if anyone can help or has experience with anything similar. My 335i auto box doesnt seem to like changing from gear 4 to 5. if cruising along normally it will shift nicely. But if flat out it will slam into gear very harshly/violently. under some load it kind of hesitates and slips in to gear. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Thank you

See if you can find someone with a scan tool like nt -510 or schwaben that can clear the adaptation for the trans so it can relearn. Just an idea to try. Could be software related or could be a solenoid in the valve body malfunctioning.check the codes. Btw Turner has the schwaben tools on sale now

Should probably have mentioned i had all the codes read and there were no gearbox codes present. I have also tried the adaption with no success. Also this harsh shifting is present in paddle mode as well as auto mode.

If you can read the adaption pressures, get a screen shot and send them to ZF. They will assist. I use ISTA+ to get this info. https://www.zf.com/corporate/en_de/m...-inquiries.jsp

Most likely they will recommend new solenoids as that is the most common cause of 6 speed issues.
