NJ: Front License Plate?

Just curious if any of the NJ guys out there are running around without a front license plate, and if so, have you been pulled over specifially for this violation?

My CA was actually disappointed when I said I was gonna put the front license bracket on, then I said I'd think about it. Haven't even gotten the plates, so it's not really an issue yet. It's just the car looks so much cleaner without it on!

I know it's a gamble, but I might be willing to play this game...

might want to try some sort a magnet set-up

i agree with you, looks so much cleaner, but NJ is poor and the cops are really cracking down, checkpoints left and right. with an a--hole cop who knows. instead of drilling into the bumper with a strong enough magnet, your plate could hold. just an idea.

i wonder how much the ticket is anyway

good luck

i got ticketed by my local PD when I had no plates... but it was a modded up Scion tC so that might have done it, while BMWs are a lil more respected

from what ive seen in livingston during the summer when ferrari's come out, if you have no license plate bracket on the front bumper, you can put the license plate on your dash so you can see it through the windshield. not only ferrari's do this, ive seen a couple old vw's and crap do it too.

yeah, but the reason cops dont mess with Mr. Ferrari is because they think he is a lawyer!

Thanks for the feedback guys, nice to see I'm not the only one! Thing is, I'll be moving into Philly next year and PA doesn't require front license plates. So, if I can just keep a low profile for about 6 more months...

yea i would just rock out with my cock out. fuck it whats the worst you get a ticket for $44 then put it on. like someone else said, they see some people put the plate on the dash. i think thats kinda stupid because your basically showing the cop you dont have the plate. i got pulled over with my other cars with no front plate. and told them oh yea i got in a accident and waiting for the license plate frame to come in; let me go. so yeaaa.

Im afraid to say anything to jinx myself. But so far Ive been behind, infront of, and passed cops who hadnt even looked twice. I think this car might be a real sleeper.

Also, being where we are in NJ, we are very close to the PA border. There are more and more PA inhabitants working in NJ now. I think its the last thing on a cops mind now to start looking at every car for plates. They have better things to do like look for people on cell phones(which is actually more detrimental than a missing front plate).

Just my $.03(little extra to get my thoughts ahead of others)

I have mine on but wish I never put it on. I got 3 tickets in my old car because of it in 6 months. I was worried with this car but like Alex said I think its more of a sleeper so cops dont notice and from everyone else I hear from they do not get tickets either. I think the Alpine white helps out also.

Haven't had any problems with the 335 yet (knock on wood), but have been pulled over a few times for it in my S2000...

Basically, it comes down to the cop and how bored he/she is.

I haven't drilled holes for the front plate. It destroys the look of the front. A cop directing traffic walked to the front of my car to check for a plate. I told him I was still on temps and he waved me forward. A $44 dollar ticket to me is worth the pleasure of a nice clean front.

Haha, no way you live in Washington Township! Gloucester County or one of the other 9 WT's in Jersey? I swear I just saw a Montego Blue E92 on Egg Harbor road a few days ago with temp tags on it.

Edit: I just saw your sig, HAD to be you. Are you Asian by any chance? I'm pretty sure that's what the driver was anyway.
