Ordered on 5/22 and already sched for production

i'm not happy...

It shouldn't take me 2.5 to 3 months to get the car.

Especially when others are getting theirs quicker...

when did you order yours? and you're on the east coast too...you should get yours relatively quicker than the westcoast folks

That sucks. I ordered mine on 5/26 and it's on its way to SC as I post.

yeah, i am not happy!

I am also possibly having to switch jobs here, and not having a car is not helping the situation. My wife and I have another car that we are sharing, but it's not easy. Should I try to get the dealership to compensate me somehow? BTW, my car is still not on a boat. (i just put that in since it's been a couple days since i started talking about my situation on this thread...)

dude something definitely seems wrong. how is it cars behind you in the production line get shipped before you? FL is on the same shipping route, too:

did you ask the dealer what the hell is going on? hey you think maybe on the way to the port, the car got damaged somehow, so they're repairing it?

You mentioned when you ordered the car but you never indicated when the car is being built.

I helped a friend order a car the first or second of June. It was scheduled for week 24 production. It was completed on the 14th and on a boat on the 19th.

It arrives this Monday in the port. I would guess he'll see it a few days later.

How do I check which ship it is on with just my VIN number I tried the website given in the tracking guide post but there is no results. Mines is going to the westcoast is there a different site for it? Mines is in transit since 6/28. I got through the first 3 weeks without thinking about the car too much now that the date is coming closer I am getting anxious.

apparently from what i've read in the posts, NYK Lines, which does West Coast deliveries, doesn't have such a great tracking feature on its website. It'll take about 22 days from when it left Bremerhaven, Germany to Port Hueneme, since it's going against the gulfstream. happy waiting!

Yeah, something is definitely messed up because I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and my car was completed on 6/7/06. Logically, I'd think that our cars would be on the same boat since you're north of me. I'd definitely go ask the CA.

And you weren't on a ship as of 7/1? Did you ever get your situation resolved? My car was done on 6/28 and was up in Bremerhaven a day later. Now it is almost 2 weeks later, and I still am not on a ship or even scheduled to be on a ship. My CA is sympathetic but not particularly helpful. Meanwhile, I see others who were built a week or more later than mine already scheduled on ships.

I don't want to end up with the same situation as you. Did you ever find out what happened?

Try calling BMWNA and speaking to a rep. I called today, and the estimated date that my car should ship off is the 13th. It's currently at the port.

Hmmm..weird. Must he a typo or something.

I know for sure we are on the Fontana...and should be in PH unloading very soon. I guess it was scheduled to depart SD at 5PM actually...but not sure if it was delayed or not.

So...figure takes 5-7 business days to get through VPC and shipped to your dealer....hopefully no damage in transport!!

I predict ready for delivery on 7/19-7/20.
