Powerstop Brakes (Ebay Brakes)

I would like to know too seem like good looking stuff. How's initial bite and did the rim of the rotors rust like oem rotors.

Not the OP but I can answer. They brake well and there's virtually no dust, BUT I think mine may have warped or cracked. Getting steering wheel vibrations when I brake. I did have some squealing on one corner until I took it back apart and put even more of that CRC orange stuff on the pads.

Been driving on them for a year or two now?

Anyone know the part number to the rotors and pad for front and rear? I look on ebay for powerstop rotors and pad for 335i, there is just so many different part number not sure which is the one that have great reviews on.

Well I thought I would touch base again on these brakes now that I have had them over a year now and close to 30k miles use. I can say I have had ZERO issues, no rotor warp, no rust, no odd pad wear, no braking issues, almost zero dust. All in all I'm very happy with them. Pads are still very thick!

I will say that these ended up warping on me within a year. Still a great deal if you don't drive your car super hard and get them really hot but I have found that with these they will warp if you get them glowing hot. As far as the part numbers on eBay I'm not sure, but I think most of the cheap cross drilled/slotted rotor and pad packages are probably all the same. They are just generic from China.

I bought a full set of these in July. They were not bad at first. I had some noise coming from front passenger side, thought it would go away over time. I did follow the break-in procedure from their website so it wasn't that. Now that it is cold here (I live in MN), every time I touch the brakes they squeal. Not pleasing to the ears. I've had ceramics on other cars before but never this kind of noise.

While these are a good deal, you do get what you pay for. I'm not happy, I think I'll just throw on semi metallics and deal with the brake dust. Wish I had better things to say.

I went with the stoptech kit. Never heard any problems with these and most say it's a definite upgrade over oem. Got all 4 rotors, pads, installed for less than a set of rears from the dealer. Drilled, slotted. They went on today.

Lol you can't compare stop tech to eBay brand. Stop techs are quality

Exactly. And not much more for a critical component. Why cheap out on brakes when for a couple hundred more you can get quality and peace of mind and still save hundreds vs. oem? I got rotors and pads from stoptech for $670. Not expensive. Cheaper if they weren't drilled and slotted which for the most part is cosmetic.

Slots are good for the track. Drilled do same thing as slots but are unnecessary with slots and can crack under heavy repeated use so actually are pretty much just cosmetic. Dimples are useless and even detrimental. Less surface area and no gas evacuation. If I wanted serious track car I'd go slotted but since I'm not I can get the sexy drilled ones and not hurt anything.

I bought a set of these brand rotor/ceramic pads, albeit for a different car, and I had problems after about a year of use. The rotors warped within a few months. The pads didn't fit right out of the box. I think this was a part number issue rather than a quality issue. The pads themselves were kind of loud (sounded like metal grinding) when braking extremely hard.

Maybe I just drive my cars too hard? Either way, I wasn't impressed. The only good was that they were dirt cheap and did indeed decrease brake dust!

Just bought a full set (Pads, rotors, sensors, etc) from rockauto for $260 and change. Thanks for all the reviews, it helped in my decision to purchase these. I hope the ones i bought are as good as everyones comments here.
