BMS DCI question..

Had CNC Autosports a very reputable tuning/modding shop install my air intake for me. A forum member said the intake set up wasnt "good" what do you guys think do you agree? why? Should the intakes be moved in a different position or what? thanks

looks fine to me, just make sure the coupler isnt too far into the filter cone.

i would also make the intake hose straighter, you have yours pointed upwards to get more air from the air inlet tube. i dont think its a bad idea, but looks awkward compared to a regular dci installed car.

Your cones can arranged in a more efficent alignment (just got to the BMS website and look at their pics). Otherwise you're good.

And that engine bay looks spotless

Looks like cone on the left is sticking up rather than resting flat. Might block air from the snorkel reaching the right cone.
Best to lay the left cone flat with it tucked into the top of the right cone.

This. Also, it might cause damage to the accordion piping.

Here's how I have mine:

Yeah. The cone in the rear should rest on the cone in the front. It looks like there is a lot of stress on that front intake piping. You may be able to move them around without taking them off.

I think the people that installed the dci, thought positioning the first intake to be as close as possible to the snorkel, was the best idea for airflow. But it being a DCI is not the best solution. You are straining cooler air to the second intake, but if this was a single ram air intake that would be great. Although, to my knowledge no one has made a setup with a single ram air intake that utilizes 100% proficiency of the stock snorkel. Again though, to my knowledge.

IIRC these are the newer dci that are a little bigger.
Not much room with the bigger ones
