Are any of those "vent clips" that hold cell phones any good?
I've seen several vendors selling generic cell phone holders for our cars. I've considered buyi g one a few times because I often use GPS on my phone (no Nav in my car.) Do any of these actually work well, mount in a convenient location, and look halfway decent? I have a Droid RAZR at the moment but I'm going to be trading for either a galaxy s4 or an iPhone 5 within the next few days.

The Escort phone/vent holder is great! just remember to use dbl sided tape on the clips so you dont scratch the shit out of your vents. Keep in mind ...the side touching the vent, keep the film over the sticky part.

check out Proclip USA. I got a pointer to them from another forum to which I subscribe. I haven't actually tried any of their products but "they look good in pictures." Was thinking of maybe trying one of their mounts to hold my Cobb so I could see live data while driving?

I use a bracketron vent clip cradle. I enjoy it. Holds my phone in place well and rotates for times i want to have my phone in landscape. I have it mounted on the driver's center vent, which puts it in a great position for me to see/touch the screen without having to turn my eyes very far at all.
have had it installed for 3.5yrs and hasn't broken or anything. Still works just as it did when i got it.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but I have the setup described in this DIY and like it a lot.
