Hey guys need some advice. I've had the procede installed for about six months or so with no problems, love it. My annual oil change was today so on Thursday I uninstalled the procede with no problems. Went for my annual service today and attempted to reinstall my procede with I got home.

I hooked everything up as I had done before with the install video playing just to make sure I hooked it up correctly, black to green etc. etc. As I was installing it, I believe the white to blue my car started making a funny noise. I quickly reinstalled the power wire and tried to start the car. It just clicked and gave me a warning on the dash of a triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle with a circle going around the top and another exclamation mark to the right. I checked and rechecked my wiring and it seemed correct. I thought something must be wrong with the procede and I really didn't want to screw anything up so I took it back out and went back to stock.

I tried starting my car and it did the same thing. Again, rechecked the wiring harness and everything seemed correct. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?? It almost seemed as though the battery was low because the lights would dim slightly when I tried to start the car. A buddy of mine gave me a jump and the engine actually turned over when hooked to his car, but did not start. Now I'm just getting the car on a lift on my dash. Afraid to hit the SOS button because I would hate for anything to happen to the warranty.

Has anyone experienced this? Seems odd since I just went for service today and never had this problem before.

You have something hooked up wrong. Many people have said they are positive it's right when it turned out to be wrong.

OK in all seriousness, you said it yourself, car was fine before you uninstall/reinstalled the tune... you must have plugged it in incorrectly or accidentally unplugged something else. Go back and re-check everything... I mean EVERYTHING...

only 4 or 5 things to check really. If you are still stumped, unplug the Procede again and make sure the car starts when back to start. If it doesn't, then that certainly rules out a few things.

In your case, it looks like one problem was that your battery died somehow during the install process. Which is why it didn't turn over until it was jumped. But the reason the engine didn't start was because of something not being plugged in right. It's always the case eventhough you have checked.

The procede is not installed right now, tried to put everything back the way it was. Is it even possible to install the wiring harness incorrectly? I thought I may have swapped out the wires on the small (right side) harness but when I checked it appears they won't even go in if put in the wrong side. I only have 7,300 miles on my car, so wouldn't think it would be time for a new battery just yet?

Is it possible that something could have short circuited?

I would check the green connector for power...You might have inserted it into the wrong slot and giving no power back to the orange wire that you tapped for power...If this is the case the car will crank over and over and never start.

I will check on the power wire again, but does anyone know if it's even possible to reinsert the stock wiring harness incorrectly?

I mean it's possible to not seat everything in correctly yes, make sure everything is firmly seated, etc.. 3x check your wiring. and before you put everything together try start.

make sure those harnesses are really snapped in correctly

pull the connector out and BLOW! sometimes its debris or something preventing contact of the pins....you never know. Hope you got it started!

This is why I always take the extra 13 seconds to disconnect the battery... It's so easy to lean against your key and press a button, bringing the ECU back from its slumber. I'm willing to bet that's what happened and it started freaking out because you had harnesses disconnected.

It is entirely possible to reverse those two subconnectors on the smaller harness.

Also make sure you put the small grey connector in the top-most slot. When the subconnector is placed back into the ecu, it should be the closet connector to the passenger compartment. Hope that made sense.

haha yeah its funny, but it worked for me.. a feather flew out, and the car started!
