Meth / whp

Hey guys, has anyone dyno the amount of whp that spraying meth gives a full bolt on vehicle? Not to debate tun wars just a ballpark figure with meth concentration. O think its close to 35-40 whp but want some feedback on my estimate

On the N54, that sounds about right. I have no idea on the N55.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you will not gain anything with meth only, especially with flash tunes which don't have "autotuning" features. I tested with GIAC Stage 2 and GIAC Stage 2 with meth and the results were identical (within 1hp, and the dynos were done several days apart on the same dyno), and this was expected at least by me.

The advantages can be felt only with a map tuned for a higher octane than what you have in the gas tank, or in conditions when the ECU would otherwise reduce timing due to high intake air temperatures or other factors (like very hot days or track use).

That outcome is wierd, most the threads show a gain of aproximately 30 hp. But most of th threads have tune of procede and jb3-jb4

Anyone ? Shiv???

On an n55, I'd expect meth to be worth 10-15whp on an otherwise FBO car running a max power tune. You don't get more because you can't raise boost since the turbo is already maxed out. So the extra power only comes from extra ignition advance. But that's on a dyno. On the road, you'd also benefit from resistance to heatsoak which means the same power output, gear after gear, run after run.

Sounds reasonable and interesting

+1? I want to run this set up soon also. Just need the meth and warranty to expire. Also, is this set-up capable of hitting 400whp on a higher map with race gas or something?
