I've used auto dentist a few times, the first time was a good job, the second time I ended up with over spray all over my truck. They had to buff the whole truck to get it off. I will not return.

So one good exp, one bad. they have the skill, just not sure if the attention is there.

Anybody know of a shop in Ottawa that keeps a decent inventory of wheels/tires on hand? My VMR V715s have succumb to six years of Ottawa roads and continuing to drive on them is becoming a stupider and stupider idea by the day. I want to replace them this weekend as I need near constant access to my car, especially this coming week. I'm trying to get in touch with OEMConcepts in Montreal about a set of RW.Mesh, but if that doesn't work out I need a Plan-B!

Desi, any luck finding wheels? I ran over a dub-up area of pavement and think I broke a belt on a front tire, not sure about the rim. Need ideas.

Or, anyone have a nice set of wheels and tires for sale?

Ended up ordering them from OEMConcepts in Montreal and had them delivered next day. Pretty well nobody in this city keeps stock it seems, everyone says they can get them "quickly" (the definition of this ranged from a few days to weeks).

Are your fronts 19s? I've got a set of 235/35R-19 Yokohama S.drive X in alright shape, about 50-60% tread left. I can't guarantee they're not going to cause excessive road noise as I'm only about 75% sure it was my rears that were the problem when I swapped the entire set, but they're yours free if you want them. I only ask you pay to get them taken off my old rims so I can send them to the scrap metal guys.

Just wondering is living in Kanata expensive? Maybe specifically the area were the Senetors stadium is.

Cheaper than other parts of the city. The closer you get to downtown or to the canal, the more $ for the sale property / house.

That said, everything is cheap in Ottawa compared to GTA.

Hi guys,
smelt burning oil and saw smoke coming from the engine bay of my 06 330i. Seemed to be from burning oil residue. Took it to a mechanic who told me that its due to a leak in the valve gasket. Ottos and duss brothers quoted around $1k because of the labor involved. Since its apparently a very common issue, wanted to check if anoone else faced this and how much it cost them? Suggestions for indy mechanics would be appreciated as well.
