BMWhat App

Have only just heard about this after reading a thread on here earlier.
I've one a quick search and seems like it could come in pretty handy. I know there's probably all the info I need in the forum somewhere but I don't have much time to search and if it does what I'm thinking it does I'd need to buy it very soon!

My car is an E92 320d N47 12/2007.

I want to code my rear LCI lights that I installed ages ago because I've still never got the double speed blinking sorted! Is this possible? Also I have a fault code on my dash which I was hoping to erase, again is this possible?

I'm thinking I can buy the full app and a wifi connector off them? (or is there a cheaper alternative that can be used) and then use my iPhone to do what I have described.. as well as any other things I want to play about with if possible.

Basically just wanting to know if I am able to do this ok?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Need to sort these things out before my MOT which is due!

If you have a look on their website there is a full list of all the coding that can be done

Actually just found the thread on the normal UK section and reading through it. Think I'll go with their adapter and get it since I can use it on mine and my brothers car also, and will come in useful if I keep with the bm's!

I would send them your report first as despite my model/year being covered, mine was a funny one that means I need a special cable in order to code

Ah yeh good idea, mine's 12/2007 so would be better to check first. Will buy the adapter anyway and stick with the free version first to see if it works. Cheers!

Used that app, and it wasn't great - bought up random fault codes that nothing else bought up (BMW, own instance of INPA, Torque).
App said I could use the wireless dongle, and when I tried to code, said I needed USB.
Got a 2007/04 E92.

Have you found any solution to this mate? I have an early build too (07) and I'm trying to figure a way to play with the usual coding adjustments, mirrors on lock, etc. but no joy so far...

Worked out all good! After about half an hour it stopped working by saying the connection was too weak and to buy the genuine adapter! Which I had lol. Not sure what happened but it's worked fine ever since.
Not a huuuuge amount you can do but some fun things, also good for checking error codes
