*Please help* --- recommendation needed

Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile I wasn't on this forum on a day-to-day basis.

SIGH...... guess what.. sad news from me.......

I totally didn't notice there's a car parked on my driveway and I crashed into it.. OMG!

Any idea on what I can do here? Probably going to get a new rear bumper, but apparently none of them appeal to me...

Here are some pix... I'm still not sure how much this would cost me......

Thanks!

Sorry to see...

Looks like you will need some additional body work done on the rear quarter panel as well.

The rear bumper can probably be refinished, it's the quarter panel repair that will be $$

^^Yup, looks like no crack or any other damage on your bumper, so just repaint it, that's it. How ever your quarter panel need to fix it asap otherwise it will start rusting.

427 auto collision??? I still need my front lip painted and cover up some scratches on my car, maybe we can go together and he would only have to open one can of paint and give us a discount. =)

Thanks!

Any idea on how much that would cost me to fix that panel? I'm not sure what price is "reasonable"......

I have some other scratches/dents for the rear bumper (from a license plate hit & run last year). So, better to replace it with a new one.......

not sure how deep the scratch is on the panel, but see if it can be buffed out. Paintless dent guys do wonders for a good price. Re the bumper, try to find AW OEM bumper from this forum. People who replace theirs with MTECH bumpers might have their OEMs for a good price.

I have the mtech side skrit need to get paint too, may be we can go together and ask for a better deal (even not in same color, they still willing to give a group discount like last time we let them paint our front lip)

You can always paint the black part as well, but not sure how that looks.

Supposedly Don Valley Collision is recommended by BMW Toronto.

I've decided to go with the claim thru my insurance.

The quarter panel is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I'm thinking might as well get the aero lip altogether and see if the dealership will give me some discount..... (hmmm.. should I go with the aero rear bumper instead of the OEM?)

This has definitely happened to me before on a similar occasion when I was visiting my parents and my sister parked her car at an obtrusive spot to my rear right. Gave her little Honda a little negligible bump. I assume its just our brains being so used to backing up without anything blocking our exits since they are our driveways after all. Lesson learned, your damage doesnt look bad at all should be easy to fix! Goodluck just dont put it off!

Full Aero Kit will be arriving today and ready to go to body shop today as well.......

When I ordered my rear bumper, it actually comes in two pieces: bumper + diffusor....... hope it turns out good.... =)

Are you keeping the old bumper? If you want to sell it, let me know.

Reminds me of the time my friend back his accord into his dad's SL600 that was parked behind him... Man, that was ugly.
