Ahhh! 2011 e92 335i drive shaft
I was driving today and i heard a loud noise. I though at first I got rear ended. But it turned out that my drive shaft blew and the bag on the bottom of the car deployed. Is the blowing of the drive shaft normal? Has this happen to anyone else? Im still under warranty, so its not a problem right now. But for future reference.

what do you think it maybe, juiced46? I mean hey thats what bmw said to me. so i'm going by what was said. but they need to run a full diagnostic. I wont hear from them until later during the week. so i wont know the full details regarding it. ill keep everyone posted. i just wanted to know if this was an occurring problem for other owners. I mean the car is less than a year old :/ also they gave me a loaner for the time being, the f30 328i, -_____- its not floating my boat to drive it. mostly with its eco friendly engine turn off at every stop you are at.

There is no such thing as a magical bag that deploys to catch broken parts under the car! lol This thread is just crazy.
Are far as the driveshaft exploding, I am sure that is an exaggeration at best. Some later model E9x cars have a recall for the front driveshaft bolts coming loose. But being you are in California, I doubt that your car is Xdrive and that wouldnt apply to your vehicle. |

IC where you are coming from. And thanks for your input. I am not a mechanic nor an expert upon this nature. I was just mentioning what the bmw service provider said to me. And like I said earlier it still being investigated to see what really happen. And yes the magic bag was stated to me that it was deployed. so thats something to be said to bmw advisor I spoke to. :/

The other day I was going so fast that my left mirror detached but fortunately a small bag deployed from the back bumper and got the flying mirror, there are plenty of hidden catch bags here and there! These a some awesome features!

WOW, Thanks for the the support guys. But can someone tell me what this is? please dont be predictable and say its from "the magical black bag." -____- this part popped out from under my car during the event and started to leak fluid. This pic and the tow to bmw is the only picture I have unfortunately.
