Did mine at 170,000 miles because I was doing the AC compressor and a bunch of maint including flushing the cooling system and it made no sense not to change it out given most seem to fail far earlier. I may have set the record for the longest lasting WP??

a. at how many miles? ~73k b. how much did the repair cost (and indicate labor vs parts)? Didn't need to change it yet. Let's hope it stays that way. haha c. was it replaced at indy or dealer? Probably do it myself if sh#t hits the fan. d. was there any other damage caused as a result? N/A e. do you track your vehicle? (DO NOT reply if you participate in canyon carving, street racing, etc.) Nope, I drive like a grandma... 80mph. f. auto or manual? Automatic. Man, reading this is making me more paranoid... Especially, when I saw the voting poll. I do my regular oil change (every 5k on Mobile 1 0w40). I'm going to check my coolant level and other liquids when I hit 80k. I have the worst luck too... My Eccentric Valve Sensor at like 55-60k... I'm just going to anticipate my water pump failing at this point. lol |

GUYS, created a new thread here. This will not only track how long most have lasted without replacing their WP, but also tell you when it's failed for those who have replaced them. Please feel free to recast your vote there. We should close this thread.
