Fattest tires possible?

What are the fattest tires possible i'd be able to get on a set of 19" rims?

I love the beefy look of the PS2's on the 18" m3 rims and want to get the fattest tire possible on some 19s on an e90 lci 335i.

Help please!

It really depends on what offset and width your 19's will be

Let us know some of your wheel choices so we can respond back with proper tire sizes

if your going et30+ a 275 is the best choice for you if you want a wide tire. standard would be 265

The rears on the m3 with 18s are 265/40 which is surprising as it looks a lot chunkier as you say. It could be the actual shape of the Michelin tyre itself. Different brands have different shapes and profiles (like more rounded / squarish edges etc..). Changing the aspect ratio of the tyre from the recommended for 19inch rims may not be such a good idea though. The whole rolling circumference would increase and (..skipping a few steps as i dont know the details..) basically your speedo would not be showing the your actual speed.

when researching some 23in rims for a cayenneS a few years back I remember the suggested tyres were 315/25. I thought that 25 profile tyres were far to thin for crappy sydney roads and when I asked about thicker tyres they said it would only be possible with a speedo recalibration or stretching smaller width tyres with larger aspect ratio.

These are the tires I use, I get a little rub when going over speed bumps, but other than that, they work really well. Although I need to dump the clutch at 7k rpm to burn out...
