2008 330 petrol misfire.
As the title suggests, the wife's car appears to me missing on at least one cylinder.
I have had it into a local independent in Aberdeen and they have not been able to give me a reason for it and have tried to waffle on about how it may be any number of reasons - all of which sound pretty costly. They even say that the diagnostic tool was unable to identify the problem. The garage I went to was Bavaria Auto Verk (BAV). Anybody used them before and how honest have you found them to be? All pointers welcome. |

They have just ran a code check and found nothing so choice not to look any further, too many people think that a fault code is the answer. It's a pointer toward the problem but could be caused by something else.
Basic mechanics for me here check plugs and coil packs would be my first choice |

Agree with above or worst case scenario it could be the high pressure fuel pump failing... in summary spark plugs, coil packs (highly likely), injectors , HPFP.
