Sorry to hijack the thread; but good to see other DHers (and boarders) here. Shot of my Highline attached. Planning on my first Whistler trip this summer; I usually ride Northstar out here in NorCal.

Speaking of racks, just ordered the Thule Snowboard rack and also the Sidearm for the bike. Have been putting boards in through the trunk my past several trips to Tahoe this season; time to use the roof as I'm itching to get the bike out too (especially with this warm weather)!

Winn> Nice photos there; any thoughts on the BMW (Mini) rack vs. Thule [snowboard]? Does the BMW one hold 2 boards? I bought one once but returned it as I couldn't get it to stay fixed in the rack slot (it would always slide around). And didn't like that it said "Mini".

- I havent had any experience with the BMW/mini rack.. but I would presume that each side would hold two boards (base to base). I stick with Thule because I can take the entire setup off my wagon and put the setup on the roof rails of our Lexus RX..

I also like supporting brands and products that are a "snowboard" specific design in order to encourage companies to specifically develop products that target snowboards vs. skis. If you have noticed, a lot of the racks that are on the market today are geared toward ski's with add on pieces to accomodate putting on snowboards (sort of like an afterthought).

- There is absolutely no way the snowboards are going to fly off your rack so long as you have them secured correctly.. The only time I have ever heard of lost boards (off a rack) is due to human error. Furthermore, I have driven 80-90mph in some pretty hefty crosswinds and have never been worried.

I will admit though, if I am driving solo or with only one other person, the racks come off and the boards usually go inside with a seat folded down. That way, the boards don't get that nasty road salt/grime from the 3 hour drive, and theres certainly less wind noise and better gas mileage.

I still have my Thule Rack, Ski and Bike attachments from my TSX, Im trying to figure out the part # or where I can buy just the Feet, since I can reuse the bars I already have, no need in that case to buy a whole new kit...

Anyone have the # for the Feet? or know someone whos selling a set...?
