start up

hi guys wonder if anyone having problems with startup it seems when i put the key in then hold the button the car doesnt start straight away theres a along delay. Then sometimes the car dash lights come on then i have to take the key out and start again.

Can anyone advise?

Hmm strange, every so often they do take a few seconds to fire up. Not a regular thing though. It does happen though.

ive made a note of a few things that i need to address back at the dealer just seems wierd that it wasnt starting when putting the key in then pressing the button

When this happens did you see a curly pig-tail like symbol on the dash?

If so, it's the glow-plugs warming up. Also, no need to hold the button, just push and release.

You should only get the glowplug if you get into an unlcoked car that has been off overnight...as the car pre heats automatically when unlocked ...in this weather I doubt they need to preheat

i check that tommorrow morning. the sales guy lives on my street so he gona call me tomorrow to check it all out. I did send him a semi- harsh email with regards to few things that are missing on the car and i think he going to sort them out.

This happened to me on a 2 day old car....Put in the key, pressed the button and nothing...no error lights or spark plug lights

Pressed a few times and nothing...Had to take the key out, and put it back in then it worked fine.

Not had an issue since then

i only picked up my car on friday last week so but like this morning its just didnt want to start i had to take the key out and then put it back in then it started but its happend a few times
