M Performance steering wheel OPINIONS

Hey Guys,

Looking for the general consensus on what you all like and what you think would be a better, classier option for the trim on the m performance wheel I ordered :
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...x-e82/?pdk=AQE

This is my current interior to give you an idea. CF vinyl wrap (opinions welcome also, the '335is' badge looks bad in pics but its cut clean and looks good up close, still looks weird in pics not sure why) real cf e-brake w/ alcantara m tri-stitched shift and ebrake boot, will keep the stock shift knob for now.

I am also debating on taking the cf roundel off the airbag and matching the oem blue w/ the blue stripe.

So....I ordered the alcantara trim w/ the wheel, its flat w/ no m badge, or should I keep my stock muliti-function trim w/ m badge or go for a cf trim peice?? Worried that would be just too much cf everywhere, as I have the cf performance spoiler and plan on getting the bmw front lip also.

Thanks all!

Yes turner sells it as an option on the wheel
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-5...2-e90-e92-e93/

And other vendors as well

I was suggesting it as an option for you since you were asking. It will match your shifter and e-brake boots.

Thanks! Yes i had ordered it alongside, the wheel itself with tristitch will already match great with the shift/brake boot. I'm leaning toward trying the alcantara, but it looks great in all the other pics with the m badge like normal

i was going to get the perf steering but daily use the alcantara wears out very quickly and it starts to look dull, i had the steering trim in alcantara as well.

ended up with the m sport steering perforated & wrapping the x1 steering wheel trim cover in gloss black

I'd recommend going CF for the steering wheel trim. I love the way it looks with the rest of the CF trim in my interior.

Not a great pic, but gives you an idea

Off topic but what cf wrap did you use to get that gloss finish? Really want to get my interior trim wrapped.

It's actually real CF wrapped over the stock trim and then clear coated. All the interior pieces that I had done were completed by Andy aka 'roll_the_dice' here on the forum.

Hmm did that trim piece wear on you, I mean its hardly ever touched right. I will definitely be getting the alcantara fabric care kit, I figure nice things are meant to be enjoyed and normal wear is going to happen

That does stand out very nicely. Did you or roll the dice just stick the m badge sticker back on?

Looks good! Are you going to get the air vent trim done also?

I originally had wood trim and switched it out for the silver. I went with silver vent trim because I like the way it breaks up the interior. Doing the whole thing in CF would be overkill IMO.
