To all interested in the Saddle Brown shift and brake boot, I have sent an email to andymaddux(at)leatherz(dot)com. I have requested the next step for the group buy. I will keep you guys posted.

Not to be a party pooper, but I'm going to hang tight for a short bit.

I'm ordering some BMW Saddle Leather myself, and having a local leather guy (whom I know well) make my Shift/brake boots for me ...

I'm fairly sure I can get it done a LOT cheaper this way... and they will be of the exact same quality.

$225+ dollars seems awfully expensive now that I know how much the leather actually costs ...

Also, with me being in Canada, I would have to pay to ship my boots to them ($$) and also have the new ones sent to me ($$) so I'm looking at the better part of $275 (after shipping, brokerage fees, etc...) or $175 (if I send my boots in, after shipping both ways, border fees, etc ...)

If everyone wants to hang tight, I may have a better/cheaper solution. If this doesnt work out the way I envision, I'll be back and join the group with the group buy, promise !

OMG ... forget my last post ... Sorry all. I went to buy the leather, and was confirming that BM7990 was the exact grain/color match, and it turns out the leather they have is not the same afterall ... My Bad

I'm back in the group buy, and Calling Andy tomorrow !

Thanks Kosaic for deciding to stay in. From what I understand, LeatherZ is pretty well known among the BMW Z community as providing quality work.

Anyways, I tried calling Andy and got a voicemail. I will go ahead and call him again tomorrow.

Has anybody else tried calling?

The shift and brake boot both look really seems nice. Wish the list went up to 10.
