Mother's Glass Polish, works as advertised. $9
Mother's is advertising their glass polish in some car mags this month. I hadn't heard of it, but those water spots and dullness on the windshield in the areas the wipers don't hit have always bugged me. Nothing I owned would clean that off.
Bought some Mother's Glass Polish at Pep Boys for $9.00 It's a simple rub on, wipe off product. It worked! Very simple and quick. After doing the stained edges, I went ahead and did the whole windshield. When it rained later, the wipers were soundless against the glass. No rubbing noises, and the windshield was still wiped clean on each pass. I recommend it. Many of you pro detailers have other glass products, but this was cheap and available locally, so I was glad to get it. Last edited by Taxvictim; 04-30-2012 at 04:54 PM.. |

I use plain rainx. Apply it with some news paper paper. Cleans the glass, removes spots, and applies rainx too.
Did this on my girlfriend's car, which hasnt seen a proper wash in years. Glass stains all came out. No more squeeks from wipers too. |

Interesting. Does it have any repelling qualities like Rain-X, or is it more like Stoners Invisible Glass with a lubricant?

As far as I know, it just cleans and polishes the glass. Those water stains on the sides and top would not come out with just Stoner's, which I also use.
