Simota VS. E90post tell me the truth

Ok i've talked with guys on the forum in different threads and i have mailed with some guys from the company simota who prudces intakes for cars

And here is my question who nobody actually have answered clearly....

Here on E90post some members i've talked with claims that the: Simota Aero Form Carbon Intake only produces 1-2 Hp

I've also talked with SIMOTA them self through emails and they said that their intake produces 12 hp....he then confirmed it when I wrote my second mail and he said: that when your engine is in good condition you get about 10 hp's...when in bad condition you get about 7-9 hp's.....

Now who am i going to believe?

If you think/know it only produces 1-2 hp write why

And the same with people who thinks/knows it produces 12 hp and write why

But it sounds good indeed

^Exactly. Crank and wheel horsepower are totally different.

325/330 MT have like 18% loss
325/330 AT have like 25% loss

do the math your 10hp at the crank gain is less than 1 whp.

sources: search for previous dynos. MT ksfrogman & Matt; AT I can't remember who.

Doubt it gives much, if any gain at all. People usually get it purely for the sound & cosmetics.

You have to be realistic about any gains from an intake. Most intakes will yield a similar 8-10 CRANK HP gain, provided it's designed correctly. Expect the same from Simota, this is based on both experience and customer dynos.

Could you let me know if the simota intake will fit in the 320i? If so, where can i order it so that it ships internationally.
