Facelifted E90/91 headlight switch
I was looking through the stickied E90/91 facelift thread again and I'm sure by now we've all seen the freshened headlight switch with the bright trim on the knob.
As someone who has yet to buy the euro switch in order to get the rear foglight button, I was thinking that it would be nice to have this newer part since I've waited this long anyway. Based on photos it looks identical in shape and size to our existing one so I imagine it should be possible to swap. Now I just need to find the part number. What do you you guys think?

Newer is not better. Too much bling for me, BMW has gone chrome happy with the LCI.

i bet it looks good lit up at night. I just ordered the regular euro light switch, not going to replace it anytime soon tho.

GregL - I thought the same thing immediately, especially since I have the Aluminum trim and not wood... I'm going to hold off on the Euro switch until we find out if it's a swap or not.

I guess more is better. Darn if only they could have brought in the e92 clean up. I am tired of those plane brake lights. Hondas and Toyotas have standard LED brake lights. How long has the e90 been out?

Since about March 2005 as an early MY2006 model.

Realoem.com now has the part numbers for the updated 3 Series, but the switch I found does not indicate whether it has the aluminum trim on it. It also seems to show a manual dial for headlight brightness:

I guess it looks good. I drove an '09 e90 loaner and to tell you the truth, it's not that big of a deal.
