Some people hit on the some of the challenge that these kinds of site have.

First if it free then you relying on ads placement to bring in money to pay the bill and hope there is enough left over for you. Problem with free ad supported sites is there are too many people like me who have software installed that blocks all those ads so I never see them on any site I visit.

The next option is pay site and there are people who do pay, no double about it, specially if you have new content and you have girls who are willing to product new content all the time and willing to interact with the pervs to keep them interested. As long as the perv feels like he has a one on one relationship with the girl all is fine and good. Here is where the problem comes in, the girls get all weirded out as the pervs get all weird, so the girl stop. The other thing that happen is people use site ripping software to strip all the content from the site and post it on Bittorrent site once that happen people stop paying for what you have.

Now if neither of those do not happen, then you become visible to the hard core mainstream guys and they first try to strong arm you into joining them, if that does not work, they hack and bring down your site so it requires that you have full time web security experts on hand at all time to keep this from happening. If you join them you get cut out of any profits since they say your content is not driving traffic.

The last thing that can happen and does happen is you attract the attention of the government. Since 2005 the our fine government has convince ISP, web hosing and payment procession services that porn sites are actually clearing houses or money laundering for terrorist organizations. More site have been shut down or have been denied the ability to process payment in the last few year. Check out the history on insex.com that guy had to shut down his site because no payment processing service would touch it since they were warned he was laundering money.

Not to say you can not make money, there a few example where individual have set up cite and made money and continue to make money. but it not as easy as it seems and comes with lots of headache and work on your part.

My whole problem with this idea is the basic business model. Why would anyone pay for porn these days, especially amature stuff? There are so many sites out there that you can watch for hours and hours and never see the same girl twice (not that I do mind you), so I just don't get why anyone would spend money on it.

There is a site called fantasti.cc that I visit frequently (but never for more than about 10 minutes at a time) they have free content and take donations. They are offshore and let people upload videos for streaming much like youporn. Take a look and see if this inspires any potential new business models for you as I haven't seen another adult site quite like it. (although redtube, youporn and pornzapp are also pretty sweet)

How about a porn site like redtube, etc etc with free streaming, but you can also download them to your computer? The costs are absorbed through ad revenues as I am sure the providers of the porn won't be happy with letting people download for free. This makes it so visitors won't/don't have to be a paying membership.

That's what i want, to make money from ads, not from members itself...like people mentioned, not a lot of people pay for porn nowadays...but if you can generate enough traffic, there will be ads, and i can even sell the site some day...
