Anyways he got me the cable from this website http://www.ecutool.com/productshow.asp?ID=1939 Its the same cable except its way cheaper. my question is will this cable give me troubles because its cheap (it might be bad quality)? or it doesnt matter? They all use the same pics so you never know what your getting. Won't know till you get it. I had ordered from a website that had working cables And next thing u know they started sending out cables that were nothing like the first few batches.

Can you tell me the build date of your 335i. I'm thinking about getting this cable for my 08 335 that was built 10/07. I've read that there was a switch in 03/07 that raises some compatibility questions. The website for this cable says 98-08 in one place but also says "E90, E91, E92, E93 od 03/2007" in another. Thanks for the help.

I have been watching "cable" threads for awhile and I think you now hold the "least expensive and actually working cable" award! As mentioned above however, it could be largely due to luck - your cable may have just been next in line on the shelf of random cables and happened to be a working one, but who cares, right! Lucky you! Will be interesting to see if others buy this cable with consistent results. Question, for statistical curiosity: What colour is the component board inside the plug head housing? ie Green, White, or Blue? |

Thanks for the info. I have an e90 with a build date of 10/07 and I just received a cable from Amazon. Spent the whole night trying to get it to work. Hung up on the airbag step. Although the pic on Amazon showed a green board mine was white. At least I can return it to Amazon. I think I'll try yours next.
