i love how everyone is shoving things in there, i just YANKED my center consol off lmaooo... it annoyed me so much, i tried tennis balls, i tried towels, hell i even tried dynomat, NOTHING fully got rid of it until i just fully took it out. i know it looks ugly but i dont mind it. i also get a small rattle from the center concol upfront too the middle armrest thingy, sounds like its comming from behind the e-brake where those little vents are or w.e they are. (inside the armrest)

I'm gonna yank it off too and do the DIY that got posted in here with the felt/velcro. It's getting damn annoying though, the towels stopped working so I'm just leaving it open for now. I have one somewhere in the front too that I can't figure out and its driving me nuts

Mine's a step, but I'll try it. The other day I had a water bottle in each of my front cup holders and the rattle was gone, but yesterday when I did the same thing I heard the rattle again. I hope it is the shifter, but then again, if it is, I have no idea how to fix that one.

Just turn the stereo on really loud, the music will cancel out the rattle noise.

finally have the chance to do this mod. it certainly has gotten rid of 99% of the rattling noise from the rear seat. I've been driving the last couple of days with no music just because I enjoy driving my car without having to hear the rattle. this should be sticky!!!

Which mod? The tennis balls, towels, velcro, or removal of the sliding portion?

add super thin velcro (or felt tape) to get rid of the rattling noise, which come from the sliding door hitting its rail. It's quite tricky to do it though, I had to redo it a couple times to get it right. I'm so happy with my car now, probably one of the best mods ever

Nice, I was thinking about the felt but he highlighted areas on page 2 that don't look like they would require you to remove the console.

Could you toss up a picture or give me a few idiot proof steps?

sorry man i already put everything back I was thinking of taking some photos to share but i got lazy lol

but it's seriously easy. just open the door, pull up the compartment. Once you have it out you will then see where the rattle noise come from right away. The only tip i have for you to save your time is buy the thinnest velcro or felt tape. must be thinner than 1mm.

Here's what I got from home depot that works.
