JB+ sometimes it feels inconsistent
Does the JB+ adjust continuously based on how you are driving or once it has adapted its keeps that programming in place with no further adjustments.
6mt, stock at default. The reason I ask is because sometimes it feels inconsistent. One day/night she feels really good, then one day I'll get on it and it feels a little flat with a feeling like something is holding back. Another time I get on it and I'm surprised because it feels really good. Anyway love the tune, the best $300. bucks I spent on a car. |

It's not the JuiceBox. It's the ECU. It will adapt depending on your driving habits. If you want the car to drive fast then drive it fast. If you putt around for a few days then step on it, it will not feel as responsive if you have been driving fast. It will even be like this stock, as I notice this even after I took the JB+ out. Amazing how smart the BMW ECU is.

No Sh_ _t, I started to feel that was the case...
No Sh_ _t, I started to feel that was the case even when I was stock... but then I got the JB+.
If I run it hard a few time it seems like it runs better and better but by then I start to baby it because, well just because. Thanks, I have to test that out. |

The biggest performance increase/decrease I see is tied in with the ambient temps.

+1. I agree with the above and the ECU adapting to driving conditions. But ambiant temps a lot to do with it as well. Also, humidity. The car doesn't run that hard on a hot and sticky august day than it will on a cool October day...Turbo's love the cool air

I drove a JB+ car with it set to 50% and it was noticably quicker. In the end though I went with JB3 for $70 more.
JB+ is a great entry level tune and will surprise you.

It depends on what you need. If you are going to keep your car stock and just want to add the chip Id say go with the jb+, it is an easy installation, easy removal, and gets the job done. If you had gotten the jb3 you would be able to run it on map 3 which is equivalent to the performance of the jb+. But then again if you are going to do more mods exhaust,Downpipes... Go with the JB3, Its a matter of what best suits your needs.
