I've been wearing a Berenger Aviator for the past 11+ years and it's been just perfect. Anyone familiar with this watch?

Fell back in love with it, and the Milgauss doesn't have the date, which I realised I couldn't live without.

so, would it be a good buy? i know generally these things hold their value and i would certainly not be buying a new one so i'm kind of think yes..

but other opinions are welcome
my dad has the carrera and wow its awesome, and its limited edition as well

I like a nice watch myself and it's not a status thing for me

I've also had to talk my way out of being branded a poser cock for buying a 3-er to people i don't see that often.

And i know what you mean about wealthy people not trying to prove anything. A guy i work with who is now a multi-millionaire looks without wanting to stereotype the complete opposite of what you'd expect.

He turn's up to business meetings in pink mr happy t-shirts, shorts and drives a new-ish civic with a number plate worth more than the car.

He's very successful and driven person, but unless you see his house, you'd never know how wealthy he was.

This is what happens when watch 'one upmanship' goes too far:

I actually really like watches and sort of understand why people buy expensive brands. But I can't think of any other area where the law of diminishing returns applies to such a massive extent.

In my opinion at least 75% of the cost of a rolex pays for marketing and the 'brand'. I admire the engineering, but for me thats as far as it goes.

Exactly right, hence my original post!

Tag Carr is a nice piece. Have you considered Breitling or Panerai?
