Fit or Hit? 18x9 ET 35 on the front of an E90 Sport

I'm looking over options for new wheels for my E90 ZSP, and I was wondering if 18x9 ET 35 will fit the front without issues (rubbing, strut impact, etc.) I'm on the stock sport suspension with no real plans to lower it.

From the calculator above, it seems that it probably won't work. From the stock 162s, the 18x9 ET 35 decreases strut clearance by 14mm and extends the outer edge by 12mm. I don't want to run a spacer either.

I'd like to run a 245 tire up front too, looking at the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s.

Anyway, on the off-chance that someone has tried this setup on an E90, I thought I'd ask....

You will be very close to the struts, about 2-3 mm of clearance only.

when i had my volk re30's i ran a 19x9 et38 with a 265 tire on it and it cleared w/o any issues at all. In fact the wheel sat too far in and wasn't flush enough.

That is far too close in my opinion. I guess a 5mm spacer at the minimum then, but that pushes the outer edge out quite a bit (+17mm.) I don't really want to run a spacer if I can avoid it.

You got a 265 tire squeezed in up FRONT? Wow! I've heard of Dinan running a 255 up front, but nothing wider than that.

We are using 9" ET 35 wheels with 265s for track with no clearance issues.

Soon we will step up to a 9.5" using the same size tire.

I might suggest that as you are pushing fitment to the limit, different tire brands will affect fitment due to the sidewalls/shoulders being different. Regardless, once you go above the "standard" sizes be ready for the next step as necessary.
