Help now!

Was just cruising down the highway and lost power. The check engine light came on and my compass started flickering. Stuck at the gas station now in a ghetto and cannot leave my car here overnight! I'm thinking its a coil pack. The last thing I want is this car towed please help me!

If you had the Cobb tune you could pull the codes. Just sayin....

I have had a few coil packs go and once I turn the car off and back on, the SES light goes away and the car runs fine under normal driving.

Best Of luck!

Does it turn over? Maybe your battery cable is not connected well. Have you disconnected the battery lately?

Is it a Service Engine Soon light or half engine light? I have had a few coils go and I only got the SES light.

SES light. It starts fine but sounds like its idling on less than 6 cylinders...I don't want to get it towed and pay the diagnostic fee if its a coil pack..I can change that myself. Jut worried about driving the 20 miles home with it like this...

Doesn't sound like you have many options if you don't want to put it on a sled. Drive slow.

Dude for future reference, AAA is like 70 bucks a year. Well worth it when you need that tow. I've broke down in the ghetto too, it's scary when people start coming up and staring in your windows!

Yeah I just wasn't sure that my car would be alright going on the flatbed as low as it is. Problem solved anyway

One of my coil packs went out yesterday too. Luckily it happened right as I was pulling out of the garage. Better yet, already had new coil pack waiting for the occasion. Was looking to get another 1 or 2 coil packs for the next time and see that Amazon itself sells n52 motor coil packs for $29 and n54's for $44, with free shipping. I thought the $49 I paid last time was cheap compared to the dealers $80+ so wondering if they are good parts.
