Option 20 is the one you want but you will need to perform the unlock step to get past 19. I would reduce your current setting by 20% as a starting point. In theory 1000 should produce accurate readings and 900 would be 10% optimistic and 1050 would be 5% pessimistic etc. Hope it works for you. |

You were bang on ! Just checked the value and it's 1223 (+20% !). I set it to 1000 and i'll see how it goes. Next question .. how or why would have been set to what it was ?!?! |

I mean 60mpg is very good from a 330d! So just think what you could get from a 335d? Are you an advanced driver by any chance? The reason I ask is that to get that kind of mpg you have to work for it and use trick of the trade to keep your momentum. |

If I was challenged on this practice, I would claim that demo vehicles by their nature return very poor mpg and this can mislead customers so I was just adjusting the figure to be more "realistic". Sharp Practice or Customer Service? You decide. |

The point is you can make the computer read whatever you like. I guess my sense of humor is sometimes too dry.
The car actually does mid 30s so no road craft required and the only trick of the trade I use is the milage correction figures. |

I hope yor not suggesting for a minute that Road Craft does nothing but give me my membership to the old and crusty IAM's First register To the tune of £35 that is wasted every year, well, for me it is Actually, to get the best mpg all the time it does help, it's consistency and I like that, goes with my OCD lol On a recent run of 450 miles that included spirited A&B roads plus about 150 miles of motorway driving at about 73mph (gps) I managed 38 mpg, I'm still very very impressed with this car!! |

JT I am sure your roadcraft is second to none and your computer is the most accurate ever seen. The point remains for those interested in mpg. Do not trust the computer as you can make it read pretty much whatever numbers you want. Dig into the dash and have a twiddle.

478 miles to 54.30 litres and that was from a 200 miles trip to London and back, many A & B road blasts to the shops and many cold starts. It gives a combined of 40.02mpg which is again very impressive!!! It's not quite 60mpg as some other 335d's on this forum do I'll try and get into the computer and check the values this week but upon filling it the car said 39. Something so I think she's bang on!!! |
