Another e90 aftermarket head unit question

Hello all. Just picked up an 08 328i and want to swap out the head unit. I know most don\'t want to do this because of how tightly it is integrated with other systems, but if I don\'t have Bluetooth or PDC or idrive now what do I lose besides steering wheel controls?
I figure I can see mpg and everything else on the dash and don\'t mind reaching over to turn up my music to gain Bluetooth, iPod integration, a port to control my plug and play sirius, etc.
Any other dangers I\'m not thinking of?

Hi. You will have some trouble if and when your car needs to go in for service, and dealer does a software upgrade in the car. They will run on to a lot of errors for not having the OEM stereo. I think I saw some thread about relocating OEM stereo to the trunk. Maybe that's an alternative. Also, if you decide to go with it, you can buy some kind of interface to aftermarket stereo to steering wheel on eBay. I think I saw something in there. Look for Connects2.
Hope it helps.

Whatever you do don't sell or misplace your old head unit.

Look up the other dynavin threads the problems will become evident
if you read those.

There was also a problem with PDC volume if you have that.
