Hi all,

So my sand beige leather could do with a clean, and also the passenger seat has a few black marks on it.

Just wondering what you guys use for your leather seats.
My seats are heated, so not sure if that makes a difference?

I used the BMW approved stuff before on my 7 (I think it's made by Sonax?), and didnt think much of it to be honest.

I found Gliptone's leather cleaner and conditioner to be very effective on light leathers. Used many times on my previous cars and restores the 'new leather' smell once done too

Yes can recommend gliptone leather cleaner too, worked a treat on my old cars silver/ grey leather

I bought Zaino a while ago as it seemed to be recommended. I haven't used it yet but will report back when I do.

I always use gliptone and I rate it, plus it smells as if your car has just been re-trimmed after every application.

Yup, after many + on here I bought the gliptone 2-pack cleaner / conditioner.

Works great, smells great.

It really needs to be a separate cleaner and conditioner, else all you're doing is rubbing the dirt round and round and sealing it in.

That said, PH neutral unfragranced baby wipes are very good for lifting grease and grime and denim marks, they just go black with a few wipes, amazing how dirty the seats get. It leaves a clean matt surface for any conditioner to go on after.

Yep makes no odds AFAIK.

Maybe don't clean them while the heaters are on

Yep, makes no odds whether you have heated seats or not. Just don't drench the seats in it but thats a no brainer.

Oh dear, slippery slope.....

I asked that question last year, not having a drive i'd never cleaned cars myself.

Now we're 'with driveway' I'm snowfoaming and claying and cleansing and waxing.......

If you are lazy and only want to polish once every six months or so, Collinite 476s

Used it for years.

Bit of an update...

I bought the Gliptone stuff, (GT12+11) and used it yesterday, and I have to say, it seemed to have made no difference whatsoever, and on the rear driver side seat, it has made it worse!
I followed the instructions as per the bottles.

It has turned the light mark into a yellowish mark:



I will be contacting some leather restoration people, as it seems I will have to get this looked at professionally.

Does anyone have any recommendations for leather restoration in and around the Leicester area?

gliptone - edit ;-) looks like it worked well!! ;-) - never had a problem with it myself.
